Not a lot of new stuff hit my inbox this month but I did spot the rather lovely sounding Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask, £19.50.
In Trilogy’s own words, it’s a “creamy clay mask formulated to deeply cleanse the skin, drawing out impurities and absorbing excess oil. Revitalising, energising and purifying, this rich blend of botanicals leaves the skin soft, smooth and radiant”.
All of which sounds spot on for those with normal-oily skin. I’ve had less success with clay masks but I’ve got pretty dry skin and usually opt for something focused on nourishment or hydration. Which means I probably won’t get to scare my neighbours with this deep-blue coloured treatment…!
Trilogy is one of my holy trinity of rosehip oil suppliers (Pai, Trilogy and Melvita), as well as being a great brand to explore if you’ve got really sensitive skin. I had a good experience with the Very Gentle Moisturising Cream and Calming Fluid from their sensitive skin range.
In other news, an old favourite of mine – Sophyto – seems to have had a rebrand. I was a big fan of their Purifying Silken Cleanser and pH Optimizing Restorative Toner (you can see my review here). Although I’m not sure of the reason for the rebrand, the new line-up looks nice (if a little pricier) and I’ll hopefully eventually check out the reincarnated cleanser (Multitasking Creamy Cleanser, £19) and toner (Bio Rebalancing Essence, £19) to see if they’re on a par with their forebears.
I’ve also got my eye on the Revitalising Duo Treatment, £25 – an acid exfoliating lotion – and the Tocotrientol Skin Concentrate, £35 – an antioxidant-rich nourishing serum with raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate – for when I’m next feeling flush.
The only slight problem I’ve got is that I’ve read the website AND the 24 page catalogue and I’m none the wiser as to where or how you go about buying any of the new range. I’ve tweeted them and I’m really hoping I haven’t missed anything screamingly obvious and made a fool of myself… Anyone else got any ideas??
Finally, breaking news for my Canadian readers (of which WordPress reliably informs me there are some!). Lovely, aromatherapy-friendly Brit brand Neal’s Yard Remedies is set to launch in Canada, with a flagship store opening in Calgary, Alberta in May this year. You can find out more on NYR’s Canadian site.
